My Thanksgiving with my family...

Who doesn't love family time? I absolutely love it!

On Thursday, I stopped by my best friend Melissa's house for their Thanksgiving lunch. I love her family and her sons and her sister's kids too. We've been best friends for many years so her family is like family to me. After I ate I did what I normally do when I go over there... take a nap on her couch! HAHA It's funny cause they already knew I'd pass out on their couch.

Later on in the evening I stopped by my Dad's side where my entire family was there... well actually not everyone was there, but this side of my family is HUGE! Here is a picture and keep in mind this photo doesn't include the right and left hand side of the couch.

While all my nieces and nephew and cousins were running around everywhere we were watching TFC haha. We were watching the Filipino Fear Factor... omg some funny stuff. Then as soon as our Lola said we could change the channel all the cousins were watching 8 Mile haha. It felt good when my uncles were all talking to me about MMA and the UFC and which fighter is their favorite fighter. I had to educate them on the up and coming Pinoy fighters so they can keep a look out. Us Filipinos are always proud of our heritage and support our fellow Filipinos. :)

On Friday, my family had our Thanksgiving. I woke up and found myself helping my Mom clean the dishes and prepare for our Thanksgiving feast. My niece and God daughter, Tayondee was such a great big helper. She is only 4 years old and all that came out of her mouth was "I wanna help... I wanna cook." I guess it just runs in the family haha. Every woman in my family cooks. I had Tayondee help me make the sauce for the lumpia and had her pour the vinegar and soy sauce into my container of chopped garlic. Then I had her help me separate the wrapper for the lumpia. She was such a great big help. My cousin, Manang Dawn taught her how to wrap her very first lumpia. We were all so proud. It's such a great feeling to teach her something that is a part of our heritage and or culture. Wrapping lumpia is my favorite part of Thanksgiving. I look forward to it every year with my family. It's such a great bond to have and to share it with our next generation made it even better. I can't wait to see how great of a lumpia wrapper Tayondee will be next year. :)

We had hella food and since everyone in my family are cooks... the food was BOMB! This year I lead our Thanksgiving prayer...

I left with my Auntie Adrianne to go to Chitivas. Her 25th year Edison High School reunion was there and Brian Samson graduated the same year as her. He kept saying he was gonna be there and then he makes a fashionably late entrance. I got on him for being a lagger. He better not be late for the party we are hosting together tonight! lol

After Chitivas I had my aunt drop me off at Club Envy where my cousin Roger was deejaying. Plus, it was our cousin Jonathan's birthday too. When I got there they were both already intoxicated but I was very happy to see my cousin Tasia and Tiana with her husband there. I haven't partied with Tiana in years and it felt soooo good. I couldn't stand being at Envy for more than an hour... I was already over the Stockton scene and missed being in LA.

Hood cousins haha! Me, Tasia, and Roger.

Well... I think that's about it for my Thanksgiving with my family blog. I am completely thankful for everything that has ever happened to me. Everything happens for a reason and by the way my life just flows I'm happy that I was given this life God has given me. I couldn't be more thankful for my parents who have been together for 36 years. They have taught me the value of family, the struggles to succeeding, and continue to remind me to keep my faith in God.

I've had an awesome year and continue to give thanks to the lessons I've learned throughout this year... I can't wait for 2009! Cheers!! :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

I woke up this morning (well this afternoon) and had almost 20 Thanksgiving text messages. It was nice to get a Thanksgiving greeting from fighters like Clay Guida, Manny Gambuyran, and Thomas Denny, and also people from the MMA industry... oh and Bruce Buffer too :)

Today is a day we give thanks and I am very thankful and feel blessed for the life that God has given me. I am having THE time of my life right now, I have the best job in the world, I have the greatest and wonderful friends, and my family is all that I'll ever need in this life to make me ME.

Thank you to those of you who continue to check out my site to see what I've BeenUp2 :)

Today I am going to stop by my best friend Melissa's house to see her two sons (one of them my God son), her belly (she is pregnant with boy number 3), and her family too. I love her family! Later on in the evening I am going to go to my Dad's side and visit that side of my family... I miss them!. My immediate family celebrates our Thanksgiving on the Friday after Thanksgiving so everyone who has other family events could attend them today.

My favorite part of Thanksgiving is when my family sits around the table to wrap lumpia while we are listening to some Marvin Gaye or Earth Wind and Fire. My entire family is musically inclined so when it comes to music we are ALL just singing and laughing and having a wonderful time. Every Thanksgiving we share each others recipes and even learn the recipes that have been passed down to generation to generation too.

I can't wait to see all of my family and eat all this wonderful Filipino food and Turkey too.

Thank you Lord for giving us this day to celebrate the giving of Thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving yall!

Heading to the 209 for Thanksgiving...

I can't wait to go home to Stockton to see my family.

Last night when Jaycee and I were on our way to Heat Ultra Lounge in OC we stopped by Jamie's to pick her up but went inside real quick to use her restroom. When I was there her sister Clarise's daughter Nati was there playing with me and tickling me. It made me miss my nieces and nephew. I can't wait to see them and play with them and hear the laughter in their voices. Auntie Rara loves them very much. :)

I'm just waiting for my brother to get here so that we can drive up north together. I'm sleeping the whole way there cause I'm pooped from last night. He better not ask me to drive lol.

My Cockstar Army with the music of Joseph Gettright weekend

I had a blast this weekend. It was Dru from Cockstar Army and model Tracy Nova's birthday and we started off at Highlands in Hollywood on Friday and on Saturday we were at club Flight in Huntington Beach.

Friday night Byron swooped me up and we headed to Highlands. It was sooo much fun. I like going to Highland's on Fridays because that's when I get to run into my party people haha. Jamie's ass was there and you know she wanted me to introduce her to the go go dancers lol. I remember leaving at the end of the night but not wanting to go because the deejay played Estelle's Come Over. I found myself dancing by myself while Jane was waiting at the door for me haha. After the club we ended up with a party of 14 at Thai Patio and I didn't get home till 4am.

Saturday night...

Jaycee was deejaying the party so we had to be there early. I picked him up and then picked up Jaime. When we got to Huntington Beach we were hungry and found ourselves in the Del Taco drive thru before entering the club. When we got there we walked in with our Del Taco. One of the guys at the door stopped us and said we couldn't bring our food in but once I said "I'm with the Deejay" he let us in HAHA! Jamie and I were laughing soooo hard. As Jaycee was setting up Jamie and I were grubbing on our Del Taco. YAY for 99 cent chicken soft tacos lol. The deejay stuff wasn't set up like it was supposed to when we got there so we had to wait a little bit before the music started. Once he was all set up it was on and crackin'.

I guess I should refer him as Joseph Gettright in this blog other than Jaycee. He has been in the process of transitioning his deejay name from Jaycee J to Joseph Gettright and at Flight the EmCee introduced him as 'Jaycee from Power106' but during his set he played his "Joseph Gettright". I know he is very maticulate in the songs he chooses to play because he observes the crowd quite often... and if he doesn't like the song he'll still play it for the ladies haha ;) Even though he only spinned for an hour and fifteen minutes he still got the party crackin'. I know there were plenty of songs he wanted to play but couldn't due to time constraints.

Not only was this party for Dru and Tracy but it was also Jaycee's Joseph Gettright Mixtape Release Party. By the end of the night he was out of mixtapes and I know he brought hella.

(Click to download his Chil-lectro mix)

After four Jager shots, my night was fulfilled when he mixed his Electro with Whitney Houston's I Want To Dance With Somebody. I was singing it from the top of my lungs haha. Boy... I was feeling it soooo much my hair was soaked from so much dancing. (Speaking of HAIR, if you can't tell from the pics I got my hair cut hehe) I was dancing so much I got fed up and went to my car to get my shoes... no more 5 inch heels for me, it was Ra-Boogie time! :)

We had so much fun, when Jaycee was done with his set it was drink time. Jamie's face was soooo red she passed up the patron. Dru tried to pass the Patron on over to me and I refused too. I had to tell Jaycee to tell them No cause I was NOT trying to mix my alcohol especially from what happened in Vegas. Good thing Jaycee was there to save me or else we all would have been sleeping in the car since I was the Designated Driver. Cockstar Army had a fashion show with a lot of hot ladies rockin his gear.

After the club we found ourselves at someones house. They put in Jaycee's CD and my happily intoxicated ass was battling Stan lol. Later on Stan fell asleep and Me, Jamie, and Jane were taking pics with him while he was snoooooozing HAHA! I ♥ Jane and Jaime!

The ladies: Me, Jaime, Tracy, and Jane

By the time we got back to LA it was 5:30am. We had good times in OC with Cockstar Army and the music of Joseph Gettright. So check out Cockstar Army at www.CockstarArmy.com and Joseph Gettright at www.JosephGettright.com when you can. Spank ya!

My Sunday in Vegas after UFC 91

Ahhh I'm so sorry for blogging so late.

My UFC 91 weekend Sunday was so much fun! Tracy and I always have this tradition that whenever I'm in Las Vegas we always do Dim Sum, so sure enough as soon as we woke up we got our grub on at our Dim Sum spot. After that we headed on over the the Victory Belt Publishing house to witness the photo shoot of Forrest Griffin's new book. How dope was that! I got to see Forest Griffin take step by step photos of an armbar, kimora, and triangle choke. :)

Throughout their huge house Jaycee and I found ourselves playing video games, pool, and fooseball. We tied in foosball but he'd argue to that lol. I lost in pool but only because the pool table was lopsided, if it wasn't I know I would have kicked his butt. ;)

We then later met up with our friend Siloh and his girlfriend for some coffee and a little chit chat regarding business. As much as I know we would have all probably talked all night long, Jaycee and I had to leave because we had to get ready for Mike Goldberg's private party.

Mike Goldburg's wife and friends put together a private party to celebrate his 100th show with the UFC. I do have to say it was such a beautiful event. Bruce Buffer gave a wonderful toast to Goldie and once Goldie took the microphone the whole party was filled with laughter and tears. I almost cried when Goldie gave his respect and honor to his great friend Randy Couture. They say behind every great man is a great woman and for both of their wives to be hot, support their husbands, and have the name Kim should tell you something right there. The party was awesome and filled Goldie's close friends and family. One thing stuck out to me when Goldie said his speech, he said the reason why he continues to do his job was because of the Family the sport has brought him. And it's true the MMA industry is family. So again... congrats on your 100th Show Goldie!

After Goldie's party we headed to Lee's Discount Liquors to drop off our good passenger buddy that has been driving with us all throughout Las Vegas, the keg! It was closed so we headed straight to the Palazzo to go to Lavo to meet up with Jaycee's friends, DJ Vice etc. We got to the club at 11:30pm and left at 4:00am. We were having THAT much fun we didn't even realize the club was closing HAHA! My gosh time flew by so fast at Lavo. Needless to say DJ Vice played that same Coldplay set that I fell in love with and again it made my night.

Jaycee and I found ourselves in the drive through at Del Taco. 99 cent chicken soft tacos seems to always be our thing and it definitely fulfilled my night.

The next day we slept in till practically 2pm. We went to go drop off the keg, meet up with Tracy, and then picked up Arianny before we headed back to LA. Both of them were knocked out driving back home. While we stopped at a gas station Arianny picked up this months Maxim Magazine cause she was in it for Maxim's hometown hotties. So don't forget to grab the magazine guys! :)

Anyway, the whole weekend was off the Chains!

My UFC 91 Fight Night of Partying...

So I already blogged about my Friday night, but I haven't had a chance to blog about my Saturday and Sunday UFC 91 weekend. OMG we had sooooo much fun!

On Saturday, when I woke with my magically appeared blanket, I found out who stole it! But you readers are gonna have to read Tracy's blog about it because it's funny Combatlifestyle 1Year Anniversary Party PART 2: the Vegas Edition. The suite had alcohol and food EVERYWHERE! Crumbs and icing from the cake landed on the floor and on the tables. I spent the morning helping Tracy clean the suite. We packed up and somehow the keg ended up in my back seat. Dammit, I wish I would have took a picture of it. I even wrapped the seat belt around it lol. I had to have the keg in my car because I was the one who put down the $100 deposit for the tap, so the whole time we were in Vegas Jaycee and I were driving with the best passenger ever... the keg! and I don't even drink beer lol.

We got ready and I dropped Jaycee off at his aunts house so he can spend time with his family and headed right on over to the MGM to meet up with Chris from the UG and his beautiful girlfriend. Wolfgang Pucks was bomb! I wanted to meet up with the Penn family but didn't have time to. I was asking around everywhere if someone had an extra ticket for Jaycee... but no can do :( The fight was completely sold out I felt horrible I couldn't find him one.

The fights were awesome! Of course everyone was bummed out Randy Couture lost, but Kenny Florian had an outstanding performance, and the Aaron Riley and Jorge Grugel fight had to be one of the best fights I've ever seen live.

After the fights Jaycee met up with me at the MGM and somehow we ran into Conor Heun, Scott "Einstien" Epstein, Kevin Randleman and his girlfriend Elisabeth, Mark Coleman, and Mike Disabito and the rest of the MMA Authentics/Cage Fighter gang. Next thing you know we enter the MGM Mansion Estates. OMG, there was a secret door to get in this place and as soon as you walk up there is a guy dressed like the Men in Black escorting you into your mansion. Goodness gracious I ain't ever seen a room like this! They had a bell boy, a butler, a indoor pool, hella alcohol and the bombest fried chicken ever lol.

I turned my head and seen JD Penn, Gary Levitt (BJ's good friend and attorney), and BJ's beautiful sister. YAY! No need to schedule a lunch meeting for Sunday, they were there! :) I turned my head again and seen Miguel Torres, CB Dollaway, and Ryan Bader. I was playing around with Ryan and was like "Come on, you're a TUF finalist aren't you!", and of course he wouldn't say if he was or if he wasn't but it was funny. I hit up Tracy and called Urijah to tell them to come through to the Mansion Suites. As I was giving Urijah directions to the 'secret door' my battery died. So I text him from Jaycee's phone for him to call. When Urijah called again the first thing he said was "Hey, I heard you're here with a guy. Tell him I'm gonna beat him up k Rara" HAHA! Of course Urijah was playing around and when I introduced them to each other Urijah tells Jaycee "Thanks for letting Rara use your phone man" :)

I was getting compliments on my red dress all night! :)

It was good times at the Mansion party and as we looked at the time it was getting late. We had to rush to get ready and head on over to Studio 54. When we got to the club I grabbed my drink and turned my head to see Gabriel Gonzaga, Gina Carano, Tyson Griffin, Martin Kampman, Mike Pyle, Ken Pavia and everyone all having a good time. Gina grabbed my hand and were dancing on the dance floor like how we always do when we party together. Nothing but good times.

Tyson Griffin, Me, Jaycee, and Gina Carano

When Jaycee and I left Studio 54 to head on over to Tao we ran into Urijah with not one, not two, but three chicks. So if you're wondering how Urijah is doing after his last fight... he is doing GREAT! lol.

At Tao, I walked over to Kenny Florian's table to give him a hug to congratulate him and tell him how proud I was. He has to be the most improved fighter I've ever seen. He carries his heart like a champ, trains like a champ, and is respected like one. He deserves a shot at the title against BJ Penn and I can't wait to see it.

Anyway, I found myself in the Deejay booth of Tao with like 5 other deejays whom were Jaycee's friends (I guess all deejays know each other lol). The only name I remember is DJ Vice. He gave a shout out to 'Jaycee from Power106' and played the most sickest dopest Coldplay set I've ever heard in my life. He mixed it with some latin beat and all of a sudden my night was made. That killed it for me... I was in heaven.

We didn't get back to Tracy's till like 5am. After the club I had to make a stop at Sonics for one of their hotdogs LOL.

My dream of my late Grandmother...

My Grandma Lita passed away from lung cancer May 22nd, 2002 and since then has been my inspiration to succeed in life.

I just woke up from a nap from a dream that I had of my Grandmother... and I am in tears! I dreamt that I saw her and as I shouted "Hi Lola!" I noticed this beautiful purple barong dress that I had given her. I gave her a hug and told her I missed her so much... then I woke up. I called my Dad right away in tears sharing my dream with him.

I was taken back and so overwhelmed because the hug I had given her felt so real. The last time she visited me in a dream was when I graduated from college. I remember when she was on her death bed she told me to promise her to finish school before I ever got married... and I did. Out of her 6 grandchildren I am the only one to have a college education. I kept my promise to her and when I graduated I was so sad that she wasn't there to celebrate with me. The day before graduation I went to her grave with my Mom and my Dad to visit her and tell her that I did it. I remember crying in tears as Me, my Mom, and my Dad said a prayer for her. That following night she appeared in my dream for like 5 seconds. It was just an image of her in her favorite anchor shirt she wore all the time lol. She appeared in my dream to let me know she was there with me and it was very comforting.

I miss her and I'm happy to know she is still with me to this day. Maybe she came to visit me because the holidays are coming up. Or maybe she came to visit me because I've been thinking of her a lot lately. Especially since Jaycee brought me back a Jade bracelet from Taiwan (and he didn't even know Jade touches a soft spot for me lol). Jade always makes me think of her because she was always proud to be half Chinese and made sure everyone knew that not only was she Filipina... she was Chinese too. :)

I guess we always have deceased loved ones that we dream about from time to time and tonight was definitely one of those nights for me.

I love you Lola... I know you're resting in peace.

MMA.tv Classic Tee for sale!

I logged into MixedMartialArts.com today and saw my face on the front page lol.

The Underground Classic Tee's are for sale!!!

If some of you don't understand why the T-shirt doesn't say 'MixedMartialArts.com' is because before the site was MixedMartialArts.com it was MMA.tv. A lot of the old schoolers and hard core MMA fans know about it.

So don't delay... go cop your MMA.tv Classic Tee. :)

P.S. I'm still going to blog about my UFC 91 weekend. Arianny, Jaycee, and I got back into LA last night like around 11pm and I'm pooped... but don't worry I got a lot of great things to blog about HAHA! ;)

CombatLifestyle's One Year Anniversary Suite Party

WOW!

That's all I have to say.

Yesterday, Jaycee and I took a road trip to Las Vegas to celebrate Tracy Lee's One Year Anniversary with CombatLifestyle. I wouldn't have missed it for the world. Tracy works her ass off and for her being one of my best friends I wanted to make sure she had everything under control and offered her a helping hand.

We left LA at 12:45 hoping to get to Las Vegas in time for weigh ins at 4pm, but that didn't happen. There was soooo much traffic we didn't get there till around 6ish. As soon as we got there we met up with Tracy at Lee's Discount Liquors to grab the keg and ice. Good thing we had Jaycee around to lift that thing cause I sure the hell wasn't gonna do it lol.

We rushed straight to Planet Hollywood where Tracy had a Suite. We unloaded our luggage and quickly started to set everything up. There was sooooo much alcohol and food it was ridiculous. People didn't start showing up till 10pm and then next thing you know the whole suite was packed. As I was taking a picture of Jaycee and Joe Rogan I leaned on the couch and hella bit it. It was soooo funny. Tracy even caught a photo of it. Everyone was having a good time!

I was already intoxicated heading to Studio 54. We went there first before Prive because Arianny was hosting a party there. I was completely hammered! I was so hammered I found myself throwing up in the bathroom. Poor Jaycee had to escort my ass back Planet Hollywood to the suite. Next thing you know I'm passed out on this huge ass bed and Tracy comes jumping on the bed "You missed out on Prive.. everyone was there!" I told her that I was sorry I was too drunk to make it lol. Then all these people appeared in the suite again. It must have been 4am and people were still in the suite having a good time.

I passed back out then woke up again because someone stole our blanket. Here I am on this huge ass suite bed cold as hell and had no blanket! I went to my bag and grabbed my socks and while I was at it I saw two bath robes. I quickly grabbed them and put one over Jaycee and myself furious someone stole our blanket lol. Then when I woke up the blanket magically appeared back on us again.

All I can say is that I'm hung over and embarrassed Jaycee had to take care of my drunk ass after how many times he has already seen me drunk lol. *smacks forehead*

Good times in good ol Vegas!

I can't wait for tonight.

My Mission to see Lupe Fiasco!

Last night Jaycee BBMed me and asked if I was into Lupe... of course I am! I responded and said "kick push, kick push, coast!" lol. He had 4 tickets to the Lupe Fiasco concert at the Nokia theatre that started at 9pm and offered them to me. Karen was already at the house because her and Drea were handling business with Trashy Lingerie and of course they were down to go. They called one of the other Trashy Lingerie models, Sadia and she was down to go too.

My next mission was to get gas and head over to Burbank to Jaycee's to pick up the tickets. I say 'mission' because it was a straight mission to get gas. I couldn't find my debit card anywhere. I dumped my purse out, searched high and low in my car, threw all my clothes every where in my room... I couldn't find my debit card anywhere. So I headed over to Ralph's because they have a Wells Fargo Bank inside that closes late. By the time I got there the bank was closed. I drove to Kura Sushi to see if it was there because that was the last place I used it and it was no where to be found. I called Lola's Martini lounge and no debit card there. I was shit out of luck. I went back to the house and grabbed Drea and Karen. Drea was my sugar mama for the night and gave me 10 bucks for gas haha. Karen was our parking sugar mama and spotted five bucks for parking haha. YAY for my sugar mamas. Man... it sucks not having or knowing where your debit card is. I already called Wells Fargo to cancel it. It sucks cause I'm heading to Vegas for the fight this weekend too. :(

The concert was so dope! Nothing pleases me more than a live band and I know it has to do with the music influences my Dad has given me. Lupe Fiasco had a Trumpet player, a Trump bone player, a alto and tenor saxophone player, two pianist - one who was on a synthesizer, a guitarist, a drum player, and a deejay... music to my ears! My favorite part of a live band is when they introduce the musicians and they freestyle to the beat. I remember when my Dad would introduce his band and it made me feel good inside and brought me to a happy place.

Lupe is a great entertainer. When he stopped to acknowledge President elect Barack Obama the whole crowd went nuts! Lupe said "Barack is a great leader, but let's not forget who the real leaders are - You! You are the leader who stands for morality, equality, peace, and love... stand up for you. You are the leader" WOW, Lupe dropped knowledge and inspiration and right after that he performed Superstar.

This concert was a treat. All my girls were thanking me for the concert, but I was like don't thank me, thank Jaycee lol. I couldn't thank Jaycee enough. It was very thoughtful of him and me and my girls had an awesome time.

So to the coolest, hottest, sexiest Deejay in LA, Jaycee aka Joseph Gettright, Thanks again! You're awesome! haha ;) www.josephgettright.com

Happy Birthday Arianny Celeste!

Today is Arianny's birthday. YES it's the hottest UFC ring girls birthday so get on your butts and go send her a myspace comment or visit her website at www.missariannyceleste.com :)

I'm excited to celebrate her birthday with her this UFC weekend in Las Vegas. She had a princess party planned where all her friends dress up as their favorite princess, and since I was one of the only Asians out of the bunch I was gonna dress as Mulan. What sucks is that I thought her princess party was on Friday, but it's really on Thursday and I highly doubt that Drea and I would be able to make it to the princess party. I can guarantee you one thing though... we will definitely be partying our asses off this weekend.

IMMAE Day 1
- combatlifestyle.com - CombatLifestyle Nightlife

For those of you who do not know Arianny personally, I can tell you that she is a very sweet person and a good friend. Drea and I are very picky about the girls we hang around because we hate being surrounded by drama and negative energy. Arianny is a positive person. She is very driven and takes her job seriously. She works out almost every day, watches what she eats, and drinks occasionally. What I love the most about her is her positive attitude and how she continues to have faith in God. Drea and I always pray and keep God close to us and to have a friend like Arianny to pray with us too makes life much better.

Anyway, I'd like to write this blog in dedication to my good friend Miss Arianny Celeste... Happy Birthday girl! Love yooo assss biaaaatch!! :)

My weird MMA dream...

I had the weirdest MMA dream lol.

I dreamt that I was about to fight in a Women's MMA bout. It was a last minute thing. The promoter for the organization told me one of her fighters backed out and she needed one ASAP and asked me to fill in. As I hesitated I obviously said yes. Next thing you know Beth and Jake from Fight Chix are helping me rush to get my Fight Chix fighting shorts on. I had to run out to the car to grab my sports bra and on my way back in I ran into Ed Soares (Anderson Silva's manager). I was like "Ed, I got asked to fight in this fight last minute. Can you please corner me?" I told him I have a pretty decent stand up game but had little experience on the ground. Ed told me "If she takes you to the ground, just posture up" HAHA! When all the girls were walking in for the national anthem I was sitting there nervous as fuck not realizing that my fight was the first bout.

Next thing you know we touch gloves and I wake up.

PWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Maybe I dreamt this dream because I live, eat, breathe, and sleep in MMA... plus all these wonderful things for IMMAE are coming this week. But I thought that dream was pretty funny.

Sincrinicities

Do you believe in Sincrinicities?

Well I do and some of the craziest shit has been happening to me ever since I went to Chicago. But all day today and yesterday I just keep seeing more and more sincrinicities. Like every time I look up at the clock it will say 11:11am or 3:33 or 12:12. I'll be talking about someone and all of a sudden they will call. I was telling Jake from Fight Chix how my friend was Korean and adopted by a white family and Jake's parents adopted his Korean brother...The lady that sat next to me on the airplane had the same birthday as me and her husband had the same birthday as my Mom. Just stuff like that has been happening lately.

They say that Sincrinicities mean your spirit guides are connecting with you. Which means a big change is about to come for me soon. I know exactly what it means too. We've been working on a few things with IMMAE and they are coming soon. I mean real good things for us. Everything that I've ever dreamed of will be at the palms of my hands in literally a few days. My life is about to change drastically and I can't wait to celebrate. I feel like all our hard work, and blood sweat and tears will finally be paid off. I'm super excited and can't wait to share my success with everyone I hold dear to me.

Speaking of everyone I hold dear to me, I ran into SuperDave, Karl, Yoda, and Sofia at Toi... They are JD's friends and yesterday I saw Lucas and Ko at Sofitel. How is it that I'm gonna run into both of his best friends (Dave and Lucas) one night after the other? It was really nice to see them... I never see them! Now if that wasn't a coincidence than I dunno...

Then last night when Manny Gamburyan and I were at Toi he opens up his fortune cookie that said "You will be a guest of a gracious host", and right before that I asked him if he would come be a guest on our MMA with Yac and J Show. Crazy right?

It just makes me more excited. I can't wait for this change.

Obama wasn't lying when he said a change was coming! :)

Anyway, let me know what you think. :)

WTF is going on in MMA recently?

Kimbo gets knocked out, EltieXC goes under, Anderson Silva wins his fight due to Patrick Cote injuring his minicus even though Anderson didn't perform up to his potential, and Paulo Filho misses weight by 7 pounds which means the title bout got pulled to 3 rounds for a non title fight... and he fought like he was sparring. He didn't even have a walk out tee. Errrrgghhh! It's just frustrating.

I'm even more frustrated because Jens Pulver got knocked out and my boy Urijah Faber got knocked out too. Yo, Urijah's loss really hits home. Fucking sucks man!

After the fight Manny Gamburyan called me and asked if I saw the fight. Manny said "I got knocked out just like that too Rara. I always thought it would never happen to me but now I plan on switching my game up a little and I'm gonna be training with Freddy Roach for a few months. Urijah will be back just like me." You guys have no idea how much my heart ached to see Manny get knocked out in Minneapolis and then seeing him right after his fight. It sucks! And it fucking sucks Urijah got knocked out too. I have faith Urijah will come back. Urijah has a good head on his shoulders. I remember during IMMAE I had my sister take Urijah to the airport so he could make it to Vegas for UFN. My sister and Urijah musta been in such a deep convo, by the time my cousin (who was sleeping in the back) woke up, she was already 20 minutes past LAX. Omg I was livid at my sister and when I told Urijah to hand my sister the phone (cause he knew I was gonna yell at her), Urijah said "Rara, what's in the past is in the past. We have to move forward" And by Urijah having this type of attitude I know his head is strong and will be back fighting for his belt again.

Keep your head up Urijah :)

History in the Making

We have a new President - Barack Obama!

Yesterday Drea went to go work out and Runyon Canyon, enjoyed Thai food for lunch, and then walked down to the voting center to vote... and then got our free starbucks after. Good thing everything is walking distance from our place. I love living in West Hollywood.

We were so happy that Obama won we were jumping up and down in front of the tv and popped open a bottle of wine to celebrate. Then we went out to dinner with Arianny and went to club Apple where we celebrated with Will Valderrama and Ashton Kutcher. Arianny is friends with Will, so we met up with them there. We all enjoyed ourselves tipping our glasses up to celebrate Obama's defeat.

I'll never forget this day for the rest of my life.

P.S. Sorry I wrote a blog so late. Honestly, I was too hung over and lazy too. HAHA!

I can't believe Byron made and edited this funny political video!

Foreals! Byron told me to check out this new video he out on You Tube. I typed in 'My Friends the Musical' and saw that it's only been up for a day and had 40,000 views. I couldn't believe it! Then I watched the video and knew why. It is hilarious! I knew he worked and edited clips for CBS, but I didn't know he was this talented and a freakin' genius for the concept... Go Byron! lol

If you learn how to play this song for me... I'll love you forever! ;)

I don't know what it is with me, but I'm such a sucker for the guitar. I think it's because my Dad is a musician and plays the guitar and growing up I would always see and hear him play. This instrument is so beautiful to me, and it doesn't matter if it's a ukulele, a vihuela, or bass guitar... it's just beautiful! I'm a sucker for the guitar and if anyone learns how to play this song to me... I'll love you forever! HAHA! ;)

Drea's Performance with Trashy Lingerie's New Girl Group, The Trashy Girls

Here is the quick clip I put together of Drea's performance last night. My camera could only record up to one minute that's why it kinda gets cut off in the middle... but that's what I got and she looks hot and sounded great!
